It's under new management and the room are clean and they do everything they can to make you feel home they don't bother at all unless you need them for something
Old motel. Rooms are clean but ...? Three cafes within walking distance.

There is no other rating to give this place if you know what you're working with...just an old motel in a small Texas town that does a solid job of handling deer hunters and other miscellaneous venturers that aren't afraid to experience a good ol' Texas motel the way it should be. Simple, affordable,tidy, relatively clean, a proprietor who served this great country in war time...and more character than you could imagine. Every room has it's own special theme...example room 5 is the "Big Buck Room" and is nicely outfitted with old deercorn sack wallpaper, Camo and an outstanding deer corn feeder converted into a TV stand. A nice little bonus that motel is convenient to the 24 hour Allsup's gas station convenience store just next door. I'd rank this place somewhere between a Motel 6 and a rustic deer camp. What's not to love about that?
